The new topic on every ones minds each Christmas season is not whether or not they should splurge on grandma’s famous fudge, but on what kind of Christmas tree they should invest in this year. Cutting down a Christmas trees has been a timeless tradition for many generations, but the younger generation is now partaking in a new tradition. The new tradition of bringing down the artificial Christmas trees from the attic the day after Thanksgiving; not exactly the same idea as before, but still enjoyed by families. Now, the question still remains, is the Christmas spirit still alive in a freshly cut tree, or is it neatly packed away each year with an artificial Christmas tree.
For those people that live in wooded area the traditional Christmas tree selection has a little more involvement to it than the more urbanized areas that are more common these days. Up north, the Christmas trees grow wild in the forest and families get together early one evening and take a walk out to find the perfect tree that they all agree on. Whereas in the more desert areas, the trees are brought in by trucks and set up in spare dirt lots for people to meander through and make their selection. For the same product, there are two very distinctly different ways of obtaining it.
One if the perks to buying a tree from a Christmas tree lot is that there are no animals inhabiting it when it is purchased and the fact that some lot owners add their own special touches to some of their trees. For instance, some lot owners sell white Christmas trees for a little more money than an ordinary tree. What makes these trees special is the fact that the ends of their branches have been sprayed with fake snow in order to give it a more Christmassy appeal to the consumers.
Now on the other side of the fence, there are the artificial Christmas trees, which allow Christmas enjoyment repeatedly for years to come. In the end, an artificial tree is a better investment for the market these days because even though they tend to be a bit pricier at the initial purchase they end up paying themselves off after a year or two. Another added bonus to these newer versions of Christmas trees is the fact that they can make life easier for their owners by coming already strung with hundreds of lights that do not have to be put up every year.
Some of the more modern takes on the artificial Christmas trees are the fact that they come in different colors as well, but not in the same aspect as the real trees. The colorful artificial trees come completely in a different color like pink, black, or white. The white Christmas trees are the most popular of all the colors available at this time because they have a more of a classy elegant look to them when put up around department stores, but all of the colors are rising in popularity so far.
